Catching up is hard to do!

I am feeling like I am always behind, and racing to get everything done all the time.  I have been very busy quilting and should make it a habit to post at least once a week a few of the pieces that I have been working on.  Be sure to check my "Custom Quilting" page to see some spectacular pieces my customers have brought to me for quilting.  I just love to do custom work as it allows my creative side to sneak out.  Here are a few projects from the past few months.

Recently I completed an Improvisational wholecloth quilt for an exhibit in Utah's UQSM for non pieced work.  I really had a lot of fun.  No Pre-Marking done.  I really didn't have a plan I just knew I wanted to show off feathers, thread painting and a center medallion.  This turned out fantastic.

This Juvenile Black Capped Heron is a raffle quilt pieced by Leslie Dickensen of Port Townsend.  She took a David Taylor class a while back and based this stunning piece on a photo she took in Hawaii.  I truly enjoyed thread painting feathers and creating texture on the rock.
