Chimacum Marching Band 2016 Donation quilt

This quilt has been a UFO (unfinished object) of mine since 2008.  I made a similar quilt that was purchased by a quilt shop in Ohio where it is displayed with her batiks for sale.  This quilt has called to me for a long time.  I had about 80% of the blocks cut and matched up for piecing.  When this years call for a quilt came, I though of this as it was sure to be gorgeous.  Even though it has been 8 years since I had envisioned it, I still remembered my plan.  This quilt is a small Queen and with over 26 hours of custom free motion quilting into the quilting it is a stunner for sure!
Here are photos from before the last border was added through the acceptance for donation.  I sure hope this gorgeous quilt brings the band a good amount at the auction.

Too Long

I have been way too busy and the result has been ..... no posts! I have to set updating this blog more of a priority.  I post on Facebook and Instagram regularly so try to catch me there too.
I will be posting new photos soon.  I promise...
