Chimacum Band Fundraiser quilt finished!

Our son is in the High School band this year.  The band is raising funds to go to Pearl Harbor and march in the Pearl Harbor day parade.  Chimacum band is the only band from Washington State attending this years parade.  Since our school is small and lacks funding for most of the music and arts programs it is up to the students to fundraise.  These kids have spent their summer working odd jobs and have brought in somewhere near $35,000.00 towards this trip!   The total for all 60 kids to go is over $60,000 so that is a lot of team effort!
I made this quilt for a silent auction that is being held September 28th at the Elks club in Port Townsend.  I am really happy with the way it turned out and hope it helps raise a little money for the trip.

Custom Metrorings quilt completed

This is MONSTER California King quilt I was commissioned to make.  I made this in just under 3 weeks, start to finish.  There is about 12 hours of free motion quilting involved. I went through 22 bobbins YIKES!
I think this turned out just beautifully, don't you??  I hope the recipients are blown away!

New Machine!

I have been fortunate enough to upgrade to the HQ Avante! This is an 18" longarm which allows me to do a little more quilting per row.  I am so happy with this new machine, I have found it is much more precise and the stitch quality is superb!

BooVille Quilt

Happy First of September everyone!
I was lucky enough to be able to quilt up this amazing quilt by Mary of Port Townsend.  This was an incredible Applique quilt and it was an honor to be asked to do the custom quilting.
Booville will hand in the Kellogg building from mid-October through Halloween. Once it is hung I will be swinging by to take photos of the finished quilt, until then hope this shows you a little taste!
